Abstract

Situated at the heart of the substantial changes reshaping public administration, this article examines the impact of New Public Management on the transformation of public services in Morocco. Using a combined methodology including documentary research and a literature review, the study assesses the implementation of the NMP and its reforms in the Moroccan context. The analysis reveals a significant influence of the NMP on the country's public governance, with ongoing reforms such as administrative deconcentration.

However, regional disparities in the distribution of civil servants raise concerns about the geographical equity of employment opportunities in the public sector. Despite promising initiatives to improve the quality of services, adjustments are needed, particularly in the area of transparency, to enhance public perception. In sum, the study offers key insights to guide future reforms and improve citizens' lives through efficient public services in Morocco.
